Add an HTML signature with a QR code in Apple Mail on Mac
Mail on Mac is where this fails most often — not because it is hard, but because of a box ticked by default that turns the signature into plain text. Two settings to check before pasting, and it works first time.
The steps
- Click “Copy signature” above.
- Mail → Settings → Signatures.
- Select your account on the left, then “+”.
- Untick “Always match my default message font”, otherwise the formatting is lost.
- Paste into the area on the right and close the window.
